That James Rolfe picture looks sick! I feel like a dumbass because while having Friday dinner at the hotel, he literally sat down like one or two METERS away from me with Rex Viper, and I didn't say hi, shake hands or anything. I was going to, but I didn't want to interrupt or bother him, and before I knew it, time ran out, and I didn't have another chance to do so that night. Well, I knew he'd be at the con tomorrow. But guess what. Yeah. I missed Rex Viper AND his signing after a completely coincidental and wasted lucky run-in! And to add insult to injury, not only am I a huge Cinemassacre fan, I literally watched AVGN reruns the day I got back home! So I win the sucker prize. Oh, and Vinny was in the same lobby during this time too lol.
Thanks so much for the awesome bracelet! I wore it the entire convention and plan to wear it again during any other future meetups :)
Aw dude! Honestly, if I was in the same situation I also would've been super nervous. I got super lucky with my encounter - while struggling in the tiny venue I only noticed James when my little sibling tapped me on the shoulder and I saw him while I turned around. It was really funny because our mutual friend took our picture I had to explain that it was /the/ James Rolfe (they didn't recognize him outside of his nerd character).
I'm super happy you appreciate the bracelet! It still feels a little weird to me that I'm still getting thank-yous from people after that weekend, but it genuinely means a lot to me that people are wearing them around and holding them close. It was also nice to run into you the day after! Sorry I was a little clueless until I noticed the bracelet + nametag, I was a little on a mission to grab that DO THE MARIO canvas and pin! xD
